STORY
In the early 1960¡¯s, our Company Founder and Technical Advisor, Mr. Wa Swee Bee started his career in Singapore Accessories Manufacturing Co. Pte Ltd as an apprentice. He worked through the years and became a rubber compounder-cum-chemical weigher for the Company. The Company was eventually wound up in the 1970¡¯s and Mr. Wa, together with a number of his colleagues invested S$3,000.00 each
to takeover the machines from the owner and formed Lian Huat Rubber Products Company in 1979,
supplying quality rubber material. In the early 1980¡¯s, the Company moved up the supply chain with the molding of rubber products for the automotive industry. In 1984, the Company was incorporated as a private limited company and changed its name to HLN Rubber Products Pte Ltd (¡°HLN Rubber¡±).

Mr. Leslie Wa, our Group CEO and Executive Director joined the Company in 1995 as a Business Development Manager. Without much industrial experience, he worked his ways to become the General Manager in 1998 and Managing Director in 2001. Thereafter, he regionalized the production to Batam Island, Indonesia in 2001. Subsequently in 2004, HLN Rubber started its second production base in Suzhou, China. Both production centers supplies precision rubber components to consumer appliance and telecommunication industries.
Our Group Chairman and Executive Director, Mr. Ng Khoon Seng started his career in Copal Singapore Pte Ltd in 1978. He was then working as a Production Assistant. He worked through the ranks and was soon promoted
to the position of Supervisor and Technician in the metal stamping department. In 1981, he joined
CMK Singapore Pte Ltd as a Trainee Supervisor and was sent to Japan for training. He was soon promoted to Senior Supervisor.
In 1990,
Mr. Ng, together with his family members founded Pro-Stamping Industrial, a Company
engaged in providing subcontracting services for the punching of printed circuit boards. Subsequently in 2000, Mr. Ng grabbed a valuable business opportunity provided by his ex-colleague in Copal, Mr. Henry Hein and established Process Innovation Technology Pte Ltd (¡°Process Innovation¡±). Mr. Ng improvised the stamping technology experience accumulated over the years onto Process Innovation die-cutting process.
Through a networking session organized by Mr. Henry Hein, Mr. Ng and Mr. Leslie Wa decided to merge both HLN Rubber and Process Innovation to form HLN Technologies Pte Ltd on 26 February 2004 as both companies shared common customer base and complement each other in supply chain as well as common vision to grow the companies.
A significant milestone happened on 25 November 2005, HLN Technologies Limited was publicly-listed in the
Second Board of Singapore Stock Exchange. It was upgraded to the Main board in 22 January 2008. Till now, the Group operates in 4 countries with a global workforce of close to 1,000 workers. It posted an all-time revenue of more than S$50 million in 2007.
